Short Course: Business Process Modeling

The main aim of the course is to understand how business processes are created and how processes can be improved in order to run a business successfully.

About This Course

Business processes are at the heart of any organisation. Understanding how they are organised and how they can be improved to run the company effectively is essential. This course aims to introduce participants to a process-oriented approach and to develop their more profound understanding. The primary tangible skill to be developed is process modelling, with BMPN notation. Participants will be able to model different processes and assess, analyse, improve or fix business process models.

At the end of the course, the participants will:

  • understand process-oriented approach, its pros and cons, conditions and expected results,
  • have basic knowledge regarding process analysis, optimization aims for process modelling,
  • poses skills for business process modelling with BPMN notation, understand different symbols and elements of the notation and know how to apply them in practice.

    Hands-on challenge

    Participants will be challenged with a series of tasks related to modelling different exemplary processes. Models will be prepared individually and discussed on the forum.
